Chiedu Oraka + cbakl ft: Rouk3n - No Love to Give (Single)

Yorkshire's rap pioneer, Chiedu Oraka and fast-rising Irish alternative hip-hop artist and producer, cbakl have dropped their debut collaboration, ‘No Love to Give’ featuring vocals from Hull-native, Rouk3n - landing 21st October 2022.

Mellow and emotive, subtle yet direct, the track encapsulates the feeling of heartbreak and the emotional repercussions of that. Both Oraka and Rouk3n's smooth, reflective vocals sit on top of cbakl's finely-tuned production; made up of melodic piano chords, sharp kicks and a raw, direct bassline.

The collaboration lands following a successful year for both Oraka and cbakl, including the release of Oraka’s ‘Council Estate Confidence’ EP and cbakl’s ‘man she loves’ and ‘New Girls Every Night’ singles.

Since emerging onto the scene from his native city of Hull, Chiedu Oraka is undoubtedly one of the most exciting voices in his genre. Cutting his own unique path in UK Black music, Chiedu Oraka, aka 'The Black Yorkshireman', has long been known as a leading figure in the Northern Grime and Rap scene; defying genres with his blend of raw honesty and social poetry.

Chiedu's music has been challenging perceptions of his city for some time now, and can be referred to as the sound of a new working-class Northern England, captivating audiences with his broad Hull accent and telling the untold story of what it means growing up Black on a Yorkshire council estate.

Oraka’s music has attracted attention from Sian Anderson and Annie Mac through to Charlie Sloth and Sir Spyro with his highest performing single, ‘Darcy’ achieving 3 million+ streams, sitting on Spotify's Grime Shutdown for over 300 days (8th longest on playlist).

Cbakl is a rapidly rising alternative hip hop artist producing eclectic beats and drawing influence from jazz, R&B, soul and house. Starting out uploading tracks to SoundCloud aged 15, cbakl has now progressed to become one of Ireland’s most in demand beatmakers.

Amassing over 10 million streams across various platforms with two songs featured on the RTE show Kin, starring Aiden Gillen (GOT, Peaky Blinders) and Emmett J. Scanlan (Peaky Blinders, The Fall), cbakl joined Word Up Collective in early 2022, releasing two more soul sampling singles - 'man she loves' and 'new girls every night' - before starting work on a brand new project featuring some of the most exciting musicians in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, the lead single of which is ‘No Love to Give’ alongside Chiedu Oraka.
