FelixThe1st - Let Me Land (Official Video)

Rising London musician FelixThe1st releases his new single, ‘Let Me Land’ following his performance at the 2022 GRM Rated Awards. Taking influence from the cult-classic film Groundhog Dog, Felix reunites with director Dylan Friese-Greene for a recurring time-looped video following his idea of “being expressive enough to create something beyond your imagination”. After recent singles ‘Who’s On What’ and ‘Block & Delete’ set the tone for what’s to come, ‘Let Me Land’ further explores Felix’s sonic universe with production from SAMO (slowthai, Greentea Peng) and Finn Wigan (Pa Salieu, Digga D and Knucks). As the 21-year-old continues to manifest his musical dream of becoming an undeniable force in London and beyond, his never-ending multiverse of sounds and visuals are paving the way toward his goal.

“Me and SAMO created magic in our first session together before tapping in with Finn. My usual process of freestyling worked well and we wrapped up the track quite easily because we are on the same level creatively. I really wanted to make something crazy for the visuals, and my guy Dylan really brought the vision to life once again!”

Breaking onto the creative scene at 15 years old, Felix’s first taste of the industry was as a dancer which created opportunities to work alongside the likes of; Stormzy, Years & Years, Jungle, and The Spice Girls. Following years of freestyling and progressively having fun creating music of his own, a seamless transition from dance to music began in 2018 when he built a network of producers to help devise his own sound. Seeking a new alias to separate himself from the dance world, FelixThe1st was born - courtesy of a tongue-in-cheek reference to his cat-like instincts - presenting himself as a stand-alone artist who identified himself with face paint, a nod to his love for WWE. His breakout single, ‘Own Brand (Freestyle)’ alongside Dreya Mac introduced him to the world on a significant scale and achieved #64 in The Official UK charts in the process. Citing the likes of everything between Elton John, David Bowie, Playboi Carti and Tyler The Creator as his key influences, Felix is on a mission to curate his own musical world that represents his true artistry somewhere in-between the Rap, Hip-Hop, Trap, and Indie realms.
