Pinty - Pinty's House (Album)
Pinty releases a new single from new mixtape, ‘Stuck Like Glue’ via Winged Feet. The track is produced by electronic production powerhouse George FitzGerald and features dreamy guest vocals from London’s Catching Cairo. These three creative minds have struck gold uniting hip hop/spoken word with emotional electronica for an infectiously danceable house music anthem as suited to an underground basement in Peckham as a terrace in Ibiza.
On the track Pinty says: "It’s very rare that I’ll go into a studio with other artists before meeting them, and instantly click on an artistic level. It felt like we had Stuck Like Glue conceptually wrapped up immediately. I’ve been a fan of George and of Catching Cairo for years, so to be able to bring us all together was really special” .
And from George Fitzgerald: “This track came about over one long day in my studio off the Old Kent Road. Writing with Pinty was just pure fun the whole way, we clicked instantly, he’s amazing.
Previous tracks taken from the mixtape have seen Pinty go heavy into the exploration of the genres he loves. ‘Up In The Mist’ and ‘Afters, Lively’ delve into house and electronica, while classic grime and jazz get a look in on AA-side ‘Flex/On My Own’ for which Pinty features alongside trainspotting maverick Francis Bourgeois in the video.
‘Pinty’s House’ house is a masterclass in collaboration, featuring guest vocals from Catching Cairo, Mina Rose, Afriqua and Jadasea and sees production from long time friend and collaborator King Krule under his DJ JD Sports moniker, as well as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, George FitzGerald and Karma Kid. The theme behind the mixtape is about the music Pinty wants to hear at a huge house party, where every room has something different playing.
