Hip-hop artist BUSHROD has released ‘Wallflower’, a vibrant, winter-warming ode which refers to his experiences with independence and social introversion.

Wittiness and self-observation both come naturally to the genre-defying artist, with ‘Wallflower’ mischievously tackling what it means to be an introvert in a world where socialising is deemed as the norm.

The quintessentially British rapper has made huge strides in 2022, amassing a loyal following thanks to his signature aesthetic, down-to-earth personality and effortlessly slick wordplay.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, BUSHROD explains: ‘’Introversion isn’t really talked about enough – especially within friendship groups. Most weekends I just want to relax in solitude, but sometimes I find it difficult setting a boundary and saying no because I don’t want to miss out, or even be seen as ‘boring’.

With two UK headline tours under his belt, playlist support from Spotify’s New Music Friday and Fresh Finds, national radio plays from BBC 1Xtra and coverage from The Independent, BUSHROD’s future appears assuredly bright.
