Worldwide acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, accomplished Jazz musician, Musical Director (Van Morrision) and sensational keys player are just a few accolades to mention when it comes to describing the diverse talents of the UK’s Paul Moran. Having been contributing to the world of music on a grand scale, Paul reveals his new downtempo project, Aurora 5, returning to his Jazz influenced club music roots with a beautifully crafted artist album, ‘Ibiza Chill Vol.1’. As the title would suggest, this stunning body of work is overflowing with emotive sunset-ready chilled grooves, offering a vibrant spectrum of downtempo Jazz, Balearic and Worldly inspired soothing sounds. Showcasing Paul’s world-class musicianship, performing keys, trumpet and flugel horn, the album also features British percussion legend, Snowboy, and captivating vocals from Jo Harrop, together delivering some of the finest Chill Out music you will hear!

Paul Moran has been a ‘first call’ session musician for many producers and celebrity artists since 1989, when he first arrived on the London scene. He is most famous for the release of the album ‘Smokin’ B3’, a funky, Hammond organ- based album. His more recent release, ‘Smokin’ B3 Vol 2’, tips its hat to the 1960’s cool style of Jimmy Smith and Richard ‘Groove’ Holmes. Paul is currently Musical Director to Van Morrison, playing piano/ Hammond organ, synths/ trumpet & flugel horn, having directed recent recording dates and live concerts such as Jazz at Montreux and the Royal Albert Hall. His prolific abilities have brought him concert and recording work (UK and worldwide) with an impressive array of artists including: Van Morrison, Natalie Cole, Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Tom Jones, George Michael, Jos Stone, Mavis Staples, Bette Midler, Sister Sledge, Mark Knopfler, Tony Gilbert O’ Sullivan, Chrissie Hynde and Jools Holland, to name but a few! 2022 sees Paul launch his brand new Chill Out project, ‘Aurora 5’, with an album release, ‘Ibiza Chill Out Vol.1’, full of Jazz, World Music, Funk and Downtempo dance compositions.
