DEJA - Leave Me (Official Video)

Back with a sonic twist, DEJA reveals her latest single ‘Leave Me’, a feisty cut which refuses to turn its back on the good vibes of the summer, set to release this November 10th.

‘Leave Me’ is effortlessly powerful – both sonically and sentimentally. With mellow pads and an infectious afro-beat groove providing a bed to DEJA’s sassy vocals, she confidently delivers her message of keeping bad vibes away with the assistance of her indigenous African tongue.

The track will be supported by BBC Radio 1xtra with plays from all key shows: Sian, Nick Bright, Lady Leshurr, Fee Mak, Theo Johnson, Remi Burgz and Ace.

The bar is continually lifted higher with each DEJA release as she demonstrates her innate musicality into various forms, from slow-tempo, hip-swaying R&B, to body-shaking, vibe- instilling afro-beats, illustrating her sheer versatility and unchallenged tenacity. Consistent across all her tracks, the energy of self-worth and self-love permeates as she continues on her one-woman mission of female empowerment.

In her own words, DEJA explains; “Don’t get me wrong - I’m definitely an extrovert at heart but sometimes I just want to be left in my peace.

“Kiloṣe ẹ? Go shift your shhhh”

“Kiloṣe ẹ” is Yoruba for “what is the matter with you?” - as in, what are you doing?! Keep your bad vibes away from me and remove yourself from my front! I wrote “Leave Me” as a statement to anyone who even dares to bring me stress. Basically this song is saying, let me live my best life!”
