Cheltenham-based rapper and artist The New Consistent has released a new EP, All Hopes Lost On The Shadowplay.

The New Consistent returns with a project that showcases his wit and wholly unique rapping style. The project is often vulnerable and reflective; one of the strongest examples of this is the track ‘Invisible Fears’, where TNC raps about missing family, reminiscing over the birth of his younger brother, and the stress of working hard to set himself up for the future. The EP also features Yonko Leck (on the track ‘Short Straws’) who delivers a sobering introspective verse on the back end of the song, as well as Dani Mudern on ‘Invisible Fears’, who delivers a wonderous sung feature. TNC’s delivery is close to a spoken-word/conversational approach, which complements his personal subject matter extremely well. For fans of this brand of hip-hop, this EP is a must-listen.
