Mitch ft: BackRoad Gee - Crossroads (Official Video)
One of Birmingham’s finest rappers Mitch links up with BackRoad Gee, serving up a banger for their first collaboration ‘Crossroads’.
Mitch hit off success following the release of his first album back in 2017. Since then, he’s featured on tracks alongside OFB, Fredo and Blanco. The rapper from Birmingham can be recognised for his hit tracks ‘Money Mitch’ and ‘Pagans’ both nearly reaching 2.5M views on YouTube alone. Mitch recently featured on Fumez the Engineers Plugged In Series, reaching over 1.8M streams, as well as teaming up with Charlie Sloth in his FITB. The rapper also starred on Halloween Hoods Hottest keeping it real for the spooky season.
Starting his musical career only in 2019, the legend that is BackRoad Gee has cemented himself in the UK rap scene. Growing up in the generation of Grime and Dancehall, the Londoner uses these influences in his sounds for the current Drill era. The rapper can be distinguished for his lyrical bars that have taken on a meaning of their own, joking about creating his own dictionary.
The track is produced by the highly revered producer Jackson Romain, who has received multi-platinum awards. Mitch keeps it true with his cruddy bars and heavy-hitting flow, matching Backroad Gee’s intricate lyrics and clever wordplay. The pair keep it true to their unique styles over the vicarious instrumental. Full of energy from the onset, the pair centre around topics of road life, drugs, and money.
