Rude Kid ft: Jaykae, Silky + Janice Robinson - Essex Girls (Official Video)

East London DJ and producer Rude Kid has joined forces with UK rap favourites Jaykae and Silky, plus US vocalist Janice Robinson, on new single ‘Essex Girls’, out now.

Sampling the 90’s dance classic ‘Dreamer’ by Italian Euro house outfit Livin’ Joy, ‘Essex Girls’ sees Rude Kid flex his production expertise as he gives a modern interpretation of the iconic track - with Jaykae and Silky complementing it with slick respective verses.

One of the most respected rappers in the UK, The Birmingham icon Jaykae has been cutting his teeth for the best part of a decade, collaborating with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Aitch, Jorja Smith, The Streets, Nathan Dawe and Tom Zanetti. With multiple sold-out tours under his belt, and his streams in the hundreds of millions, he’s one of the most significant and impactful artists of his generation.

Silky has built a reputation around an impressive catalogue of releases and a long list of club and festival appearances. The London-born artist kicked off last year with ‘Levels Freestyle’, which followed 2020’s ‘Flight Mode’, a collaborative hit with Tom Zanetti that has since racked up 19 million Spotify streams. More recently he dropped his own remix of ‘Playing Games’ featuring Jaykae and French The Kid.

Hailing from Garfield, New Jersey, Janice Robinson is a singer best known for her affiliation with Livin' Joy. She has since embarked on a solo career, working with dance music legends such as David Morales and toured with Tina Turner.
