FloFilz - Early Waves (Single)

For the second taster of his upcoming project and as follow-up to 'Uteki' featuring Alfa Mist, pioneering German beatmaker FloFilz graces us not just with one but with two outstanding singles. The double single ‘Early Waves’ / ‘Nacré’ catches that unmistakable hip-hop rooted jazz sound only FloFilz can deliver.

The artwork has been created by Indonesian illustrator Fatchurofi who caught FloFilz's attention through his work for everybody’s favourite band Khruangbin.

Exposed to music from a young age, FloFilz grew up in Belgium before moving to Aachen, Germany where he studied the violin and classical music, while also playing in orchestras. In addition to his parents, who were both musicians, he cites Hip-Hop icons A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla and Madlib as key influences. Recognised as one of Germany’s most in-demand producers, the self-taught bedroom beatmaker has built his reputation led by his seductive blend of Lo-Fi, Soul and Jazz-influenced groves. Taking great inspiration from London's Jazz scene he has previously collaborated with the likes of MF DOOM, Alfa Mist, Barney Artist, Ivan Ave, Blu, JuJu Rogers, Biig Piig, K.A.A.N., J.Lamotta and K, Le Maestro.
