With an especially unique soundscape, Jean-Mikhael, playfully teases the lines of multiple genres in his latest offering ‘Don’t Come Back’ - a talent he is fast becoming known for as he carves his very own individual space in the current music scene.

Diffusing these genre boundaries, Jean-Mikhael releases his unprotected emotions in the track as he details his journey to self-love, acceptance and resilience to keep both eyes looking forward. Maintaining his nostalgic core, the track offers a seductive bassline and a fusion of old school funk synths to carry Jean-Mikhael’s earnest lyrics as he releases yet another identity-defining single.

In his own words, Jean-Mikhael explains; “’Don’t come back’ is really a vow to one’s self to put yourself first. To exercise self-love to not accept less than what you deserve. It really was my therapy writing ‘Don’t come back’. It allowed me to see situations clearer because I was writing my story on paper. You look back for a moment and I guess realise what you had accepted all along and deemed as okay isn’t and that you deserve more. Boundaries can be hard at times, but we all need them to keep ourselves in soundness.”
