Berlin-based producer FloFilz collaborates with UK Jazz supremos Blue Lab Beats for their new single, ‘Skybox’. Merging elements of Boom-bap Rap and avant Jazz, ‘Skybox’ is Flo’s fifth and final single ahead of his forthcoming album, ‘Close Distance’ due next month on Melting Pot Music.

Regarded as a ‘pivotal force in UK music’, Blue Lab Beats recent album ‘Motherland Journey’ strengthened their reputation as one of the best Jazz duo’s in the scene.

Exposed to music from a young age, FloFilz grew up in Belgium before moving to Aachen, Germany where he studied the violin and classical music, while also playing in orchestras. In addition to his parents, who were both musicians, he cites Hip-Hop icons A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla and Madlib as key influences. Recognised as one of Germany’s most in-demand producers, the self-taught bedroom beatmaker has built his reputation led by his seductive blend of Lo-Fi, Soul and Jazz-influenced groves. Taking great inspiration from London's Jazz scene he has previously collaborated with the likes of Alfa Mist, Barney Artist, Biig Piig and K, Le Maestro.
