Xadi - Floating In Lilac (EP)

Multi-faceted and multi-talented, Xadi first came to our attention with his single earlier in the year - We were impressed to read that the talented artist produces, writes and performs all his own material, as is the case with the emphatic new project ‘Floating in Lilac’. Accompanied with a hand-painted, custom artwork, the album showcases Xadi’s ability to flow between punchy rap belters such as ‘Evidence’ and soulful, haz RnB such as ‘Decorative Scars’.

Speaking on the EP, Xadi states: “‘floating in lilac’ follows someone staring at a lilac night’s sky, looking at the distant stars, constantly chasing them, believing they’re more beautiful than they are in actuality because of the purple lens through which they’re viewing it. Never getting any closer or further away, but always chasing.”

When asked about the focus single ‘Evidence’, Xadi explained that “At this point all of the doubts have been suppressed, an upward swing where this more energetic hip-hop infused instrumental allows me to playfully flex. After having felt overlooked, this was a chance to jestfully remind myself of how far we’ve come on this journey.”
