Another personality driven release, DEJA brings her latest unapologetic track, ‘How It Is’, to centre stage. Making an entrance with sassy, finger-picking guitar notes, braided with groovy R&B vocal synths, DEJA’s badass, confident and feminist lyricism has a place to burst. Based around the theme of romance but from a fresh angle, men take a back seat for this one, as defiant DEJA writes a love letter to herself. Revealing her powerful morals in the track, it’s quite clear how self-pity is a no-go zone for DEJA.

In her own words, DEJA explains; “We love men. We really do. So how can we be expected to only be with ONE for the rest of our lives? It might be harsh but although he’s living his fantasy with me, I’m keeping my options open. Forgive me but... “that’s just How It Is”. You’ll hear “How It Is” and think ‘romance’ and you’d be right. It’s a love letter to my sweet damn self. X”.
