PREMIERE: Twivee ft: Jay Will - Godlike. (Single)

Like a starter pistol releasing the horses right out the gate, Twivee (pronounced Twy-Vee) doesn’t hold back on galloping over his self produced, bass driven banger “GODLIKE. (feat. Jay Will)”. Twivee states he originally had no intention of using the beat, claiming it didn't suit his style, until he began to question what ‘style’ he actually is, keeping experimentation close to his musical ideology.

After a string of monthly plays from BBC Introducing last year, Twivee was determined to return in 2022 with a heavy hitter. Before returning to this (at the time) empty canvas of a beat, Twivee rattled his brain around crafting the correct banger to support his up and coming project ‘Criminally Underrated’. It had to set a precedent… which led him straight back to a simple, minimalistic beat he left amongst the other mountain of tracks he had been creating.

But it didn’t finish there, recruiting his long time friend and music partner, Twivee invited Jay Will to lay down the hook. With lyrics like ‘I have to kill it, for more life’ you can tell this dynamic duo has something to prove. With tribute to the late, great Virgil Abloh, the hook curates the essence that the Lord could split the sky in two before leading into the third verse where the instrumentation of synth and drum combines for climactic conclusion, followed by a dark melodic outro.

With his next project ‘Criminally Underrated’ upon the horizon, Twivee had found the banger he needed to return with in 2022 so if you feel your speakers barking in your face, it’s probably because the dogs are off the leash.
