ArmstrongWW - Call You? (Official Video)
We have been following this young artist from Houston, Texas for a while now. Born in Cameroon, ArmstrongWW moved to the US when he was 6 and self-released his first song at 17.
His new single 'Call You?' is out now, accompanied by a music video you shouldn't miss. FFO of Mac Miller, Kota The Friend and early De La Soul.
“I am a product of the worlds grasp on free thinking. All my life I’ve seen how little everyone expresses themselves, and not wanting to be like that has grown me into who I am today. A person who says what he feels and explores this censored world through music. So I guess I’m a wanderer in love with sound, and a pretty good cook.“
“'Call You?' is a testament to all of the many things that break through my self control. In the past, I’ve found myself trapped many times because I end up doing things that only encourage my bad habits. These things would include sex with people I shouldn’t be giving my energy to, alcohol, and other activities I won’t say. In the end I realise that I’m only hurting myself, when I could honestly be doing the opposite. That is 'Call You?', it’s my story.“
The visuals of 'Call You?’, including the music video, are all directed and shot by Houston visual artist and longtime friend Luz Castilla aka LuzC. This collaboration is one of many as LuzC is known for accentuating emotion through colors and showcases this skill in this release by depicting a series of flashbacks of ArmstrongWW being hunted by a demented masked version of himself.
