Brynjolfur + Prom Night - Freakfunk (EP)

Following the release of their first collab, ‘Dr Arpeggio’, in December 2021, Copenhagen DJ and producers Prom Night (Shaquille Beck McGosh) & Brynjolfur (Brynjolfur Heygum) join forces for their second collaborative effort. The two-track EP Freakfunk is a luxurious and uplifting record created with hot’n’heavy club nights in mind. ‘Hot Mix’ offers gleaming synth stabs and hard-hitting bass while ‘Cool Mix’ takes it to the more melancholic side of things - perfect for any opening or closing set.

Already supported by Mixmag, Notion and more, Freakfunk paves the way for an exciting forthcoming project yet to be announced due for release later on 2022, featuring remixes from Swedish Disco prince, Storken, and celebrated Danish artist, Kasper Bjørke. Speaking on the EP, Prom Night says, “We really wanted to do something uplifting but at the same time one for the clubs - I hope people can feel that. ”
