Stacey Dineen - I'll Never Know (Single)

Stacey Dineen is making a name for herself as an intriguing and powerful new artist to watch, and her new single 'I'll Never Know' is an invitation to join her on that journey of growth. Following the striking releases of 'Ghost of You' and 'Over IT', Irish singer-songwriter Stacey continues her heartbreak narrative pilgrimage with her latest offering. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Adele, Tate McRae and Mimi Webb, Stacey’s songwriting shines with that same sense of honesty and relatability.

Stacey writes about heartbreak, unashamedly so, and ‘I’ll Never Know’ is no exception. By writing music in the comfort of her own bedroom, Stacey invites listeners into a private emotional listening affair of her life. The result is yet another track that lingers in your feelings, thanks to Stacey’s poignant lyrics, instrumental harmonies, and a top notch voice.

With her distinctive vocal style, Stacey’s words cut through on a deeply personal level on this emotional and heartfelt single about trying to move on from a relationship regardless of the lack of closure. In her own words, Stacey says the track explores “questioning yourself and your partner after a break up. It’s about wondering if you had done things differently in the relationship would you both still be together, but ultimately I’ll never know, because that wasn’t the case. It starts off with me coming across some of his things and then doubting my part in the relationship. I was sure I done more than enough but did I? then the song proceeds to question my partner in the relationship, did he do enough? We were both to blame for the breakup but ultimately nothing makes a difference because the damage is done, and if things were different would we still be together? “I’ll never know” I wrote I’ll never know in 20 minutes after seeing my ex partners stuff in boxes in the garage. They were covered in dust and on the top was an old picture of us, I took that imagery along with my hurt and turned it into a song.”
