Queen Millz - Causing A Scene (Mixtape)
In the midst of performances at The Great Escape, East Midlands rap breakout star Queen Millz has unveiled her debut mixtape Causing A Scene, out today.
Queen Millz’s most extensive body of work to date, Causing A Scene offers a vivid sonic snapshot of an artist who is enjoying a rapid ascent through the UK musical ranks. The 14-track release features no fewer than six singles she has released over the past few months, including body positive anthem ‘Body & Shape’, which was recently added to BBC Radio 1Xtra’s playlist as well as Kiss Fresh’s playlist, as well as recent single ‘Real One’, which was produced by Roddy Beatz (Central Cee) and has seen support from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Kiss Fresh, Reprezent FM and Apple Music.
Further singles come in the form of acclaimed freestyle ‘Winner’, ‘Hear Me Out’, a powerful track recorded for the SBTV ‘Shadow Bars’ sessions, the playful ‘MiLL$’, which was playlisted by Kiss Fresh, and ‘Blowing’, a collaboration with Maniscooler.
Additional collaborative tracks include hard-hitting opener ‘Privacy’, which includes the smooth flow of Dotnic, and the melodic vibes of ‘Pretty’, featuring Lavida Loca’s soaring vocals, before closing track ‘Money’ ensures Causing A Scene finishes on a triumphant note. The release coincides with her performances at Brighton festival The Great Escape, where she will be performing as part of the Girls I Rate stage on Friday 13th May, and BBC Introducing & BBC 1Xtra Showcase on Saturday 14th May.
