imKENNETHY - WYA (Single)

imKENNETHY is a young and aspiring hip-hop artist based in California. Heavily influenced by his instrumental background in piano and percussion, as well as his love for hip hop that started in his adolescent years, the multi talented troubadour quickly developed an understanding of production and what makes a song tick, thus starting his music making career in 2018.

After starting out making chill/lofi beats, he then started exploring sample-based old school/boom bap production. Following that, he has grown into a genre through listening to alternative hip-hop and lofi, creating his own unique beats for him then to eventually release his debut in 2020.

Since then, he hasn’t really stopped. Growing a large audience on Spotify, songs like ‘STOP!’ from his debut EP ‘DOWN LOW’ have given imKENNETHY to continue to flourish. This has led to his new single ‘WYA’ which is arguably his most accomplished track yet. Immediately soaking you in a chilled hip-hop beat with a melodic brass section and piano behind, the self production is now polished and crisp from the first second.
