Emil James - Mend (Single)

Emil James is a singer-songwriter & rapper from South West London. He draws influences from many different artists and genres, resulting in a fresh sound informed by hip hop, trip hop and indie rock music. Emil places a lot of importance in his energy and lyricism - features which he feels are being forgotten by artists in the present day.

As the front man of two bands (Odyssea and Bainbridge and co) Emil has performed at some of the best venues in London and he's also joined the festival circuit with performances at Boomtown and Cross the Tracks. He’s supporting Nige from nine eight collective on the 31st May at the Sebright Arms.

His debut single 'Better Days' has achieved over 420k streams with success on Spotify's Discover Weekly Algorithm, and he has a very engaged core fanbase. He’s been supported by Wordplay Magazine, New Scene Magazine and the youtube music editorial team (UK HipHop playlist).

Mend is a song full of good vibes and sunshine. Emil discusses the idea of healing ( “we can make you better”) and the problems of over thinking.

‘I just wanted to make a feel good tune, you know, one that makes me feel good, and everyone else feel good too, and every time i hear ‘Mend’ it puts a smile on my face’.
