Poet-turned-rapper Dirtsa shares her powerful new single ‘say shit!’. Born from her lived experiences of racism and witnessing the countless events of social injustice around the world, say shit! is a courageous showcase of not only her pioneering sound, but her energy to work towards a better world.

Explaining further, Dirtsa shared: “This song was inspired by my will to explore and stretch my sound further. I wanted to explore my sound but also black music in general and channel all this in a different way. In situations of injustices, I don't think we should stay silent. When people are trying to share things with us that matters to them I don’t think we should stay silent. This song particularly deals with that and resilience to that.”

Born in Douala, Cameroon but now based in Toulouse, France, Dirtsta is an artist through and through. From rapping to painting, to poetry, Dirtsa is the modern-day definition of a Renaissance person and cannot be boxed into one certain category.

The way in which her pen and her mind collaborate is her focus of creation. Dirtsa’s music represents a duty of story-telling and remembrance to not only her ancestors, but to all people who have fought and continue to fight for racial injustice all around the world.
