Musical visionary Donae’o continues his hot streak with new single ‘I Don’t Need’, featuring fellow UK artist Lili Caseley, out now.

Sampling the Skepta grime classic 'I Spy', ‘I Don’t Need’ sees Donae’o tap into what has become his signature sound of late. Combining delicate guitar strings and a hypnotic bassline with Caseley’s alluring vocals, the track draws from elements of both amapiano and UK funky.

His third single release of 2022, ‘I Don’t Need’ follows club-ready sizzler ‘Ride With Me’, featuring rising Tottenham artist Ekeno, and Good Mood’, a collaboration with Terri Walker put out on the legendary Defected imprint.

A producer, songwriter, rapper and vocalist, Donae’O has been an early adopter of almost all crucial black music movements coming out of the capital – from garage to grime to the UK funky-inspired house that continues to influence today's charts. Last year he tapped into the burgeoning amapiano sound for the first time with acclaimed singles ‘Mufasa’ and ‘She Belongs To The Night’.

Hailing from Camden, Lili Caseley is a singer-songwriter who creates soulful pop about love and personal experiences. Her songs are influenced by her Portuguese and French heritage, and she is best known for her 2020 smash single ‘Badoom’, which has amassed upwards of 1.8 million Spotify streams.
