Django23, S1mba and Bnxn (fka Buju) link up for their new offering, “Poppin”, produced by Multi-Platinum artist TSB (Dave, J Hus, AJ Tracey). The overseas collaboration serves as a stripped-back afrobeat anthem with subtle nods to R&B and Hip-Hop.

Reminiscent of the UK’s much loved afroswing era that saw artists like Yxng Bane and Kojo Funds controlling the summer season, “Poppin” is set to be a certified soundtrack to every motive this coming summer. The visuals, directed by Mr Mtmmg (Da Beatfreakz, Midas The Jagaban, Juls) radiate luxury vibes, paired perfectly with the braggadocious lyrics from S1MBA and BNXN.

Taking the international airwaves and social media by a storm in early 2020, S1mba has since been cementing his name in the scene, working with the likes of KSI and Tion Wayne. Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer BNXN (formally known as Buju) is best known for his collab, “Mood” with WizKid, and other tracks including “Finesse” and “Feeling”. Producer, Django23 injects his signature afrobeats fusion with subtle hints of R&B and hip-hop, with TSB’s usual production finesse giving a nod to the UK’s sound; resulting in an all-star collaboration that is ultimately a force to be reckoned with.
