Budding Manchester artist Robin Knightz delivers her addictive new single ‘What It Is’, out now via 5K Records.

Propelled by her delicate vocals that glide effortlessly over the beat, ‘What It Is’ is a smooth modern hip-hop infused cut, complemented by an irresistibly downbeat, jazz-inflected production. The accompanying official video, directed by Rebekah Creative and featuring Robin as the protagonist, accentuates the introspective and uncertain nature of the track, in a vibrant setting where fantasy and reality collide.

Speaking on the track, Robin explains, “set relationships have driven me up the wall and, as I’ve grown along with them, I’ve realised sometimes it is what it is and you can’t change that no matter what.”

It follows on from March single ‘I Like It’, which landed Jack Saunders’ Next Wave on BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists. There was also additional support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss FM.
