Wordlife - PAPERCUT ft. Krazy, Eurgh, Pablo Milkybarr & Kali Mist (single)

Bristol’s Wordlife label just dropped a new video for ‘Papercut’, a standout single lifted from their recently released EP, ‘The Warpath’ which dropped May 5th. The release was also accompanied by a visual for the title track, ‘Warpath’ featuring Impact Merv, Formi, Deaf Frets, Daysa and Guire - dropping on the Wordlife YouTube channel. The 9 track EP has multiple features, including King Aggi, Whiske XMP, Shakespeare, Origin, Griz Bear, Noodlez, Matrix and Dogzilla & more.

The ‘Papercut’ single features Krazy, Eurgh & Pablo Milkybarr on emcee duties whilst Kali Mist handles the production - the slick visual was filmed and edited by Venemous Visuals. Krazy and Eurgh have history through Don’t Flop which Eurgh runs, Krazy competed in the first ever Don’t Flop battle in the South-West and remained friends with Eurgh since, gong on to co-host events together as well as collaborate in the studio. “We have another video dropping soon called ‘Twists Of Fate’ from the same EP as well,” Krazy told Wordplay, exclusively. “Oh, I’m also recording his album as well so expect some good things from him soon - as for Pablo, he’s gang anyway and was at the studios when we were making the track so it was just natural for him to jump on.”

When you’re out here doing what we’re doing, people will have opinions, which is fair, you’re entitled to them, but frankly we don’t give a fuck - we’re just here to tell the truth, and we don’t care if it hurts,” continued Krazy, explaining the vibe of the track. “As for the video, we came up with the paper theme and was going to put a flyer in a relevant scene, and then we thought why not just give them a history lesson and show some receipts to show why we don’t give a fuck about people’s opinions as we’re actually really out here doing stuff instead of commentating from a sofa.”

The producer/beatmaker Kali Mist created the beats for the whole EP, as well as the ‘Unbreakables’ album that they also released. “He’s a boss, he’s literally like family to me so expect to see loads more stuff coming from us in the future,” said Krazy. “Also, look out for his son KSV a drill artist who is only 13 but daaamn he’s good already…” As well as ‘The Warpath’, Krazy has multiple more projects in store for Word Life fans to look forward to. “I’m just finishing off an album at the moment with the producer combo ‘Voltron’ which is Boyce, Deaf frets & Spazz D,” revealed Krazy. “We had a recording studio in the galleries shopping mall in Bristol for the last couple of years and this is the music we made in there all coming out, we just had the artwork back from Sleven and it’s looking muaaad - that will be dropping real soon.”

Krazy, thank you for your time. Any final shout outs?

“I want to shout every artist on the Warpath EP they all made it onto there for a reason, there are no weak links, check the whole EP it’s all fire. Other projects coming on Wordlife soon are Impact Mervs new album, and as I mentioned Lost in space, as much as it’s my album that features soooo many artists who came through the studio the track list is mad. Also check out Kray Bristol’s Ups and downs album that he dropped with us that’s brilliant. And Origins Dreadlock Pharaoh EP that just dropped on Wordlife records, that is fire and the music videos are dropping real soon.”
