The ILL Natured EP is the new release from International boom bap crew ILL NATURED.

Conceived on a rooftop under the sprawling skyline of Ho Chi Minh City, the ILL NATURED crew came together through the love of the art form of hip hop.

With a truly global pallet the group consists of MCs/DJs/beat makers from the UK, USA, South Africa and Vietnam.

This new 5 track EP features jazzy boombap golden era-esque production from group members Blaise, Abstract Soundz and DJ Stav with the latter also getting funky on the cuts.

Displaying their skills on the mic, New York lyricist, Blasie and Cape Town wordsmith Cosmic Rayne trade slick bars about their love for boombap culture and the state of hip hop today, alongside features from Saigon residents Kazanalam and Caz.

You won’t hear any household names on the ILL Natured EP, but this is definitely one for the boombap purists and connoisseurs, as Cosmic Rayne explains on “Straight from the Heart”

“Possibly one of the dopest rappers you’ve never seen / certainly the best version of myself I’ve ever been/ I create my reality, that’s why I never dream”.
