Ooma - Lucid Dreams (Live Performance)

Ooma is the new alternative soul project launched earlier this year by Irish singer and composer Tansy Greenlee. The group is set to release their next live session on Friday Jun 24th, following their debut release of “Playing to Lose” which was extremely well received.

This live clip of their original track was recorded in February at Krispy Records (Paris) by Antoine Martin. The song starts with a dreamy folk inspired intro before bursting into a whole new realm of tight Neo-soul grooves inspired by the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote or D’Angelo.

The band are currently preparing to head to the studio and record their debut EP, set to release at the end of 2022….Ooma is making some noise and is definitely one to watch!

Established by Tansy, the group is made up of musicians she met during her studies at the American School of Modern Music in Paris; Florian Berret (Rhodes/synths), Hélios Mikhaïl (drums) and Nicolas Bauer (bass and arrangements).

Ooma’s sound is warm and expansive, floating between soul and jazz, combining ethereal layered vocals with real salty grooves that keep you rooted in the earth.

Tansy, with velvet tones and a captivating sensibility, takes her inspiration for her texts from her life and from her evolution as a woman. Each song is an intricate collage of moments suspended in time, with carefully crafted texts that deal with everything from love, loss, and lust to dogs.
