Kasumu - Fear and Loathing in East Anglia (Album)

Norwich-based Artist Kasumu releases his debut album “Fear and Loathing in East Anglia” an incredible showcase of his rapping ability, set to chill hip-hop and jazz instrumentals.

Artist and Producer Kasumu pays homage to Hunter S Thompson’s classic '“Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” with his latest release, a 7-track album that takes a somewhat satirical approach to ideas within society such as materialism, escapism, and the human ego. Kasumu explores aspects of a whole host of genres throughout the album, Ranging from tracks like the opener “Bitter Dreams” which predominantly takes the style of hip-hop, whilst others such as the track “Roll Your Own” feature a laid back and jazzy piano line across the song, adding variation to the collection, keeping it fresh and engaging. The album as a whole takes on a Lo-fi style, giving the audience something that is both perfect for easy listening, as well as giving the perfect backdrop for Kasumu to display his lyrical prowess.

“Fear and Loathing in East Anglia” is a perfect encapsulation of Kasumu as an artist, showing his progression and the expansion of his sonic library since his initial releases in 2020, and it should be getting people seriously excited for the next line of releases. Kasumu is expecting to take part in more live shows this year to showcase the album.
