Haitian-Boston raised, LA based artist MyCompiledThoughts is a modern day musical philosopher. Drawing influence from books and movies he catches himself creating vivid images of life, love, pain, death, and heartbreak. Now the thoughtful alternative R&B artist returns with a new offering, ‘Pentagon’. Suave soundscapes are combined with a wistful melody as MyCompiledThoughts battles with the elusiveness of love.

“The song Pentagon, like the shape, has multiple meanings or sides to it. It is about being defensive. The song starts with the line "Promise me you're different" because my guard is up after being betrayed. But it is also about passion, and how my passion for my past lover leads me to disregard the chance of future romance.” 

The release of ‘Pentagon’ will shortly be followed by its accompanying music video on July 1st. The Bodega Plus production visualises the mood of the track with intimate hand-held camerawork that takes us through memories of past lovers. The fly-on-the-wall perspective is evocative of MyCompiledThoughts eavesdropping into his own past, as he flicks through the mistrust for an element of hope.
