Spirit Of Sundaze Ensemble ft: WAYNE SNOW - Mine To Give (Single)

As part of their 20th Birthday celebrations Spirit Of Sundaze Ensemble's first single, a re-recording of Photek’s ‘Mine To Give’ featuring Berlin-based artist WAYNE SNOW, and a live show at Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. The Ensemble rode with the simplicity of the original, taking it to purer synth / poppy territories. Snow’s crooning is reminiscent of an early Terence Trent D’Arby, while the driving bassline and meandering synths wander over slapping kick-drums, giving the track a slow-burn, loved-out yet suspenseful feel.

Spirit of Sundaze Ensemble, the latest stage in the evolution of Secretsundaze, is a recording and live performing project embracing a myriad of influences from Balearic to synthpop to brit funk. By inviting leading contemporary musicians such as Lewis Moody, Myele Manzanza, Oli Savill, Johnny Brierley, Hinako Omori, Qendresa and Wayne Snow to reimagine, record, and perform a selection of tracks which have been foundational across Secretsundaze’s 20-year history, the project sits at the intersection of live musicianship and electronic music innovation, and is a true representation of Secretsundaze’s “hearts not hype” mantra. As part of Secretsundaze’s 20th anniversary, they have also announced a live show with Spirit of Sundaze Ensemble debuting at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on 7 October. Tickets are on sale now.
