Nikz & Booda - Get To It (Single)

Oxford-based Nikz & Booda release their latest single “Get To It” a track with catchy hooks and high-quality R&B instrumentals. The single marks the first of many to drop from the pair this year, so make sure to keep an ear out for the next ones.

“Get To It” sees the Nikz & Booda a.k.a 916 Collective, treat the listener to a combination of Trap and R&B-influenced instrumentals, working as a perfectly complimentary backdrop, allowing for the duo to take centre stage, with Nikz providing smooth and laid back vocals and Booda weaving in between sections with his own punchy deliveries. Alongside the single, the pair have released an alternative style video, which takes on the stylistic elements of Nikz & Booda’s music, serving as not only a great visualization of the track, but a great introduction to the artists themselves for any new listeners. Both the track and video were recorded and produced by the pair in-house, with the collective focussing on maintaining a unique style and sound. It’s safe to say that they are nailing that aspect, as “Get To It” follows in the footsteps of their previous releases like their 2020 single “Nobu”, whilst also showcasing how they have honed their craft over the past two years.

Since the release of their debut single “Nobu”, Nikz & Booda have received attention from BBC 1 xtra’s Sian Anderson, featuring their 2021 single “Pull Up” as her “Online Find” soon after it’s release. On Top of this, the collective has seen airtime from BBC Asian Network, Reprezent and Radio2Funky, as well as seeing coverage from UK music platform Creative Gen. With Nikz & Booda’s track collectively garnering over 30k streams and rising on Spotify, I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing a lot more of this duo in the coming months.
