3ZVO - One (Album)

Berlin Jazz Collective 3ZVO (Drei Zvo) release their debut album “One” a fresh and modern collection, full of expert musicianship that will have you grinning and nodding your head along from start to finish.

Andrej Ugoljew & his 3ZVO crew present their contribution to the modern Jazz scene with an album that takes aspects of Afro Funk, Hip-Hop, and Nu Jazz and combines them into what they describe as “Cinematic Trip Jazz”, It’s safe to say that this description is spot on, as, from the get-go, the sonic landscape they present makes you feel as if you're in the opening of a movie.

Fans of the genre can expect a little bit of everything from “One”, with laid-back piano ballads to drift off to in the form of the closing track “Ballad from the east” to the fast-paced and somewhat Latin style Jazz the group presents in “Terre Battue”. The features a diverse collection of genres and sounds whilst simultaneously remaining homogenous, making each listen exciting and keeping the whole thing exciting.

As 3ZVO’s debut, “One” shows incredible craftsmanship from this German Jazz Collective and should get anyone very excited to see what they have in store for us in the future. The group is already receiving attention for the album with notable sources such as Twisted Soul Music describing the project as “A kaleidoscopic mix of laid-back nu-jazz sweetness, mixed with afro-funk influences, and hints of hip-hop..”
