Following her Swindle-produced April release ‘See You Soon’, Manchester’s rising star Akemi Fox teams with fellow Manchester talent July 7 to deliver a slice of summer with ‘I Want It’, out now via NQ Records.

With warm guitar riffs unfurling into a sultry Afrobeats production, Akemi Fox flaunts sensual energy on ‘I Want It’. As her riveting vocals flow with ease, they are perfectly accompanied by romantic coos from July 7 who concludes this party-ready heater.

“I’m excited to release something that you can dance to this summer,” Akemi Fox shares. “‘I Want it’ is about not wanting to leave the party and wanting to dance all night with your love!”

One of Manchester’s soothing alternative R&B artists, Akemi Fox has had a winning streak of releases over recent years, with her debut EP Colour You In in 2020 firmly cementing her place in the UK scene. Since then, the singer-songwriter has delivered a string of well-received singles, with her sophomore EP in the pipeline. She also featured on Balance, the sophomore album from Manchester hiphop/soul duo Children Of Zeus, which led to Akemi supporting them across their shows in October 2021 and March this year. Looking ahead, Akemi will support Kojey Radical at Royal Albert Hall.
