"SD The God", commonly known as "SD", is an independent vocalist based in New York City. He looks to bridge multiple gaps via his distinct take on afrofusion. By taking ubiquitous sounds from many of his predecessors, SD looks to do many things, but above all inspire. SD marks his 2022 return with authentic afro-pop gem ‘Believe’. The uplifting offering flaunts a sleek production, featuring eclectic percussion and soulful vocals that highlight the message of positivity and self belief.

Born in London, UK, he hails from the DMV (Washington, DC) and has roots in his motherland of Freetown, Sierra Leone. In order to inspire, he draws his inspiration and desire to create cross-dimensional music from artists including but not limited to Davido, Hardy Caprio, Emmerson, and Aṣa.

SD has an upbringing quite unlike many others. Born in London as a result of the displacement of his family during the Sierra Leonean Civil War, he grew up both in the United Kingdom and United States. This cultural mix has not only influenced him, but has also helped create his unique sound.
