kid apollo - all on me (Official Video)

Brixton, London based trio kid apollo today release their new single + video "all on me", produced by kid apollo, with additional production from Dom Valentino (Skepta, Dexter, NAYANA IZ). "all on me" is the first new music to be heard since kid apollo's 2021 debut EP 'all i think about'.

Consisting of twin brothers (and producers) Felix and Theo Ratigan and singer/producer Jimmy HM, the trio combine to visceral, introspective lo-fi R&B, tackling the anxieties and over-stimulation of teenage life in London and the darker side of London's nightlife.

New single "all on me", along with its accompanying self-directed video teases the release of kid apollo's second EP, due for release this winter via Sweat Entertainment. Grappling with youthful angst, vocalist Jimmy's lyrics are heartfelt and raw, as he details his tendency to "overthink all the time". Paired to a backdrop of bright, hip-hop-indebted percussion, sleepy guitar lines and delicate keys, "all on me" is another exemplary addition to kid apollo's burgeoning catalogue of alternative, forward facing R&B.

Speaking on the release of the new track, singer Jimmy said: "‘‘all on me’ is just me talking about how the small things can affect and influence one another when you're talking to someone. Quickly, these small things start to seem much bigger than they should be, but that’s neither person's fault. The song for us just felt like a good way of expressing this without it feeling too serious, which things way too often do."
