BLSNG - Queendemme ft. Sinzere, caedance & Lady Channing (Official Video)
Singers BLSNG, Sinzere, caedance and Lady Channing have released the official music video for the single ‘Queendemme’. This music video is the 7th and final part of a “multimedia exhibition”. A number of the aforementioned artists, as well as producers ByLofi & Waves, have previously worked with the likes of Juice WRLD, Russ and Joey Bada$$.
The project is an expression of black creativity and experience, and captures a snapshot of young black millennial women in Calgary, Alberta. The video serves as a melting pot of distinct parts of Calgary; 60 Calgary-based female artists are featured as cameos in the video, and it includes filming locations such as black-owned businesses within the area. Author and playwright Cheryl Foggo also features in the video. The video opens with an uplifting poem, delivered without any background music to emphasise its importance. Canadian author Rachel Ricketts has spoken about the video, saying:
“A beautiful expression of the nuances of Black joy and creative expression.”
