Rayowa - Believe (EP)

Following on from a blistering festival season with summer support slots including Nile Rodgers, CHIC and Diana Ross, band of three brothers Rayowa are back with their second EP ‘Believe’ mastered at Metropolis Studios and releasing this Sept 23rd.

Fusing R&B and Soul, finely tuned with the distinct falsetto of lead vocalist Luke, Rayowa continue to carve their very own unique space in the current soundscape. Individuality that hasn’t gone unnoticed, with high praise from Wonderland, Notion, Complex, Clash Magazine and BBC Radio 1 with their infectious, modern disco track described as “an absolute banger” by Nick Grimshaw.

Following their stellar debut EP ‘Keepin’ Me Under’ which gained over 3 million streams on Spotify alone, Rayowa return with a project crammed to the brim with tenacity, optimism and wisdom. ‘Believe’ sees the band at their most adventurous, laced with captivating rhythms, head-bopping basslines and earworm group vocals which sound tighter than ever.

Speaking on the EP, Rayowa explain: “The four tunes on this EP collectively encompass the message of keeping the faith, regardless of how difficult the circumstances you find yourself in are, and so it felt natural for the EP to be named ‘Believe” .

“Musically, we wanted to push beyond the boundaries of disco we explored on our first EP and showcase a wider range of influences including RnB, Soul and Funk. Our aim was to create something that sounds fresh and modern but also feels as familiar and as timeless as your favourite worn in record” .

A sense of unity and love surrounds each track on ‘Believe’ from the sun-kissed sonics to the chemistry between brothers who have an undying love for groove and colour, Rayowa present a dazzling expansion of their sound with modern, punchy production – the result is exceptional.

Believe’ releases alongside a stunning visualiser, featuring footage from their recent live performances and bringing the energy and joyous nature of the EP to life – watch here. The group will be lighting up the stage again in the coming months with a headline show at Chats Palace, London on the 1st December to be announced alongside the release.
