Ray Lozano - Headspace (Official Video)
Second single from German-Filipino singer, songwriter and producer Ray Lozano. Debut album '“Pairing Mode“ drops on March 3rd. Co-produced by Samon Kawamura (Max Herre, Joy Denalane, Megaloh).
Ray says: "I remember exactly how I wrote ‘Headspace’ – Sunny, 20 degrees, in the middle of lockdown and alone with myself. I was noodling on a Casio keyboard and playing with its trashy beats, looking over my piano and glancing at a poster that Parissa once gave me: ‘Tomorrow I might change my life’. A bitter sweet feeling with a pinch of sarcasm came over me and I smirked while singing the hookline."
Ray's first single „Amsterdam Nights“ enjoys radio support on WDR Cosmo and Radio Fritz. It has been featured on playlists like „Fresh Finds GSA“ (Spotify), „fem:power“(WDR Cosmo) and „KO-OP“ (MPM). Joy Denalane shared it on Insta.
Ray and her co-producer Samon Kawamura (Max Herre, Joy Denalane, Megaloh) create a landmark in German-Asian culture. Their sound is following in the footsteps of the art and soul of Solange's ‘When I Get Home’ plus some quirkiness à la Tierra Whack - but always undoubtedly Ray Lozano. Her music offers a sense of home - direct, soothing, and playful. ‘Pairing Mode’ is accompanied by a strikingly gorgeous poetic film, produced by visual artist Parissa Charghi.
