Superparka, the Parisian duo known as "Two chill dudes living in Paris", are back with their eagerly awaited album, "quatro". Paco and Simon blend between Indie, Lo-Fi Hip Hop, electronica and psychedelic grooves, drawing inspiration from unlikely sources like video game soundtracks.

"Camila", the album's focus track, kicks things off with a pulsating synth, introducing us to the duo's chilled hip-hop world. Groovy drums and dreamy vocals create a signature sound that permeates each track. Tracks like “heaven drop” feature catchy melodies, whilst previously released “raaaz” involves distinctive electric guitar melodies; every song exuding a dreamy aura.

Superparka's experimental approach shines through from the beginning, with themes of isolation and the randomness of the universe. They collaborated with visual artist Lulu Lin and director Pablo Padovani (aka Moodoid) to bring their surrealist futuristic western aesthetic to life.

"quatro" showcases Superparka's commitment to the DIY ethos, expertly blending various genres. The album takes listeners on a journey with its innovative sound and infectious energy, building on their previous work and collaborations with artists like Eddy de Pretto, Miike Snow, and L'Impératrice.

Incorporating elements of lo-fi hip-hop, garage, house and Rnb, Superparka has created a sound that is uniquely their own. With "quatro", they continue to push boundaries and captivate audiences with their genre-defying music. This album is a testament to their artistic vision and the evolution of their craft, solidifying their place in the music industry as true innovators.

Superparka says, “We come from a small city in France where being different was not really celebrated, travelling helps you understand where you belong”. Referencing Seymour, the antagonist of the video game Final Fantasy X, they conclude: “still feeling a bit “half men, half guados” from time to time, but getting there!”
