Lil Zino - PTSD (Official Video)

Lil Zino has recently taken the scene by storm with his debut single “PTSD” after previewing it on Tik Tok and reaching over 850K views on the platform. The young artist only started dubbing with music last year inspired by his older brother who encouraged him to use music as a means to express himself.

The eagerly anticipated release hit the airwaves three weeks ago and since then the support it has been receiving from Tik Tokers all around the world has been overwhelming, translating into over 200K streams across all streaming platforms and close to 150K views on the official video already.

The song is based on Lil Zino’s life experiences and the aftermath of his lifestyle, painting a picture of the harsh reality on the streets of East London. The release is accompanied by a video to match showing the area that he is from and giving a glimpse into what a day in the life looks like for the young artist.

Although not a pioneer of drill Lil Zino does come in the scene with an authentic approach to the genre as opposed to the new sound that drill has been adopting in recent years due to the rawness in his delivery and the blunt lyrics. This is also reinforced by the simple yet effective video that he shot together with his team, giving the viewers an unaltered taste of the life they live.

As “PTSD” continues to grow, Lil Zino is steadily laying the foundation for his music career and growing his audience which at the moment is dominated by young males from London aged between 18 and 24. With an upcoming release which is due to follow up on “PTSD” quite soon, the East-London-rapper is planning on becoming the new one to watch within the UK drill space.
