Recorded in her home studio with producer Rndmbeats, the song is a captivating blend of emotion and musicality that firmly establishes Silyla as a rising star in the UK Pop and R&B scene.

Silyla's dedication to her craft shines through not only in her vocal performance but also in her role as a co-producer and visual curator. "Doing Too Much" is a harmonious convergence of heavenly vocals and meticulous production, a captivating journey into Silyla's musical universe. Her silky vocals layer over a R&B trap drum pattern, while arpeggiated guitar riffs feature throughout.

The singer-songwriter says, “I wanted to create something more R&B facing to show people that side of my artistry, as it’s so ingrained in what I do; often, people don’t get to hear it due to only so many songs being released compared to the variety of genres I write.

“I felt like writing a hit on this day and I had recently been talking about my experiences with boys trying too hard—whether they aren’t taking no for an answer, being a bit of a wet wipe, or even in my own relationships and how they want to wife me up,” she explains. “There’s often a stereotype of men being the ones who want something casual and the girls chasing after them. That’s not always the case! Women want to have fun, too, and they should be able to explore and live their lives just as much as men are accepted to do.”
