Every November Wordplay Magazine run a competition called #Novembars. A selection of producers drop some beats for rappers, singers and songwriters to lace with bars and post them on the gram. I (DJ Semtex) was invited to get involved, I provided a track. Genesis Elijah one of the most respected names in UK Rap blessed it, and paid homage to UK rap pioneers such as Ty, Roots Manuva, and Chester P.

I loved the sentiment of what Genesis Elijah wrote. So I asked him if he could write more bars while I developed the production further.

We're in the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and It felt like a cool moment for the culture that should be available everywhere.
