Modha ft: Phabo - Lions & Cowards (Single)

Berlin-based Production duo Modha ( AKA Dhanya Langer and Max Scholl) prepare to announce their expansive debut album ‘Through The Cycle’ (due for release in March ‘23) with new single ‘Lions & Cowards’ (Feat. Phabo).

Following 2019’s EP ‘Getting By’, this new highly anticipated 10-track project aims to open up a considered and personal dialogue on mental health. Journeying through a collaborative medley of Jazz & Soul laced cuts, and stand-out guest collaborators. First single “Lion and Cowards'' (feat. Phabo) explores the pressures of fame and watching the good times turn sour, as industry relationships impact one's ability to be open and honest. Over a backdrop of crisp drums and rippling, tape saturated sonics - LA’s Phabo delivers a pain soaked performance.

On the track’s genesis, the duo explain: ‘Collaborating with Phabo has been nothing but a blessing and inspiration for us. At first we thought working remotely between Los Angeles and Berlin could be challenging, so we hopped on a call with Phabo and told him about how we wanted to capture individual perspectives on mental health and life challenges on this album. Little did we know that the first vocal recordings Phabo sent about a week after our call would already be the finished song as you’re hearing it today. ‘Lions & Cowards’ really felt effortless in the way it came about and that’s how you know somebody is incredibly talented.
