Ray Lozano - Velvet Blue (Single)

Third single from German-Filipino singer, songwriter and producer Ray Lozano. Debut album 'Pairing Mode' drops on March 3rd. Co-produced by Samon Kawamura (Max Herre, Joy Denalane, Megaloh).

"'Velvet Blue' was the first song I produced together with Samon in Berlin," Ray remembers. "The song somehow carries a bitter sweet melancholy for me that I really love and am glad we were able to capture."

Ray's previous singles 'Amsterdam Nights' (MUSIC VIDEO) and 'Headspace' (MUSIC VIDEO) enjoy radio support on WDR Cosmo and Radio Fritz and have been featured in playlists like “Fresh Finds GSA“ (Spotify), “fem:power“ (WDR Cosmo) and “KO-OP“ (MPM). 

Ray and her co-producer Samon Kawamura create a landmark in German-Asian culture. Their sound is following in the footsteps of the art and soul of Solange's ‘When I Get Home’ plus some quirkiness à la Tierra Whack - but always undoubtedly Ray Lozano. Her music offers a sense of home - direct, soothing, and playful. ‘Pairing Mode’ is accompanied by a strikingly gorgeous poetic film, produced by visual artist Parissa Charghi.
