TKorSTRETCH - Rising (EP)

The family of Bristol Rapper TKorSTRETCH, Takayo Nembhard, have released his posthumous 6 track EP ‘Rising’, the first of many to be released in 2023. His family posted an emotional video explaining their decision to release his music.

21 year old TK’s career was sadly cut short after his tragic murder at the 2022 Notting Hill Carnival, in the months before his death, TK had been making a name for himself within the music industry with over a million streams and support from Kiss Fresh and 1Xtra as well as having viral success with his ‘Clap’ video on TikTok, a catchy and positive release - name dropping plenty of sports personalities.

TK first made an impression in the music industry when he collaborated with Ghostface600 on ‘Cali Buds’, he then went onto release ‘Ham’, ‘Vision’ and the viral ‘Flamenco Dance’.

‘Rising’ EP, highlights TK’s versatility and his penchant for a catchy hook over a more upbeat production than what is usually synonymous with Drill. It also highlights his talent for switching up his flow, on ‘Pedalling’ TK is leaning towards a more old school rap flow.

TKorSTRETCH was on a path to greatness, working hard at creating a future within music and perfecting his craft. He had a great future ahead of him and we are lucky to be able to take in his new music after such a tragic loss endeavouring to keep his name alive.
