Ocean Black Light is a single that was originally a part of the EP, because it encompasses the struggle for autonomy in a failed relationship.

The song depicts three different stages of paranoia; a woozy anxiousness, a desperate cry for help and lastly the fight or flight instinct. Each verse is devoted to a stage of paranoia during the break-in described in the song.

Ultimately the song not only describes the pursuit for autonomy but also from freedom of trauma. Ocean Black Light is titled after the dark blue light of a black light. The Ultraviolet rays (Black Lights) expose the things that are not visible to the naked eye. In the song the black lights are the traumatic events that the artist lives with, unable to see the world without it being overshadowed by pain.
