British born - Nigerian singer and rapper YINKAH drops her eagerly awaited new single BOY.

“BOY (feat davecreates)”, produced by MFS, soothing lo-fi rap song salutes a successful online romance. The song marks the first collaborative project YINKAH has ever worked on.

“BOY” depicts the tale of two lovers who met on a dating service, connected on Instagram and fell in love over Thai food. Rapper davecreates, who appears in the song to provide a male perspective, echoes the sentiment that it is very much a millennial way of falling in love.

YINKAH is a Croydon native. Lo-fi, HipHop and relaxed music are a big impact on her music. She draws inspiration from British female rappers of Nigerian descent like Little Simz and ENNY. She is a qualified mathematics teacher and draws from the sounds that leave her classroom. YINKAH aims to reach both young and old with her relatable lyrics and calming sound.
