SOLOMON returns with his third single of the year, ‘dehydrate’, out via Parlophone/Darco Recordings. Alongside, he also announces his upcoming debut EP, ‘FOR STARTERS’ set for release June 30th.

A summery follow-up to previous singles ‘sore loser,’ and ‘phases’ which featured UK rap maverick Kojey Radical, ‘dehydrate’ sees SOLOMON take a different approach to this new offering, steering ever-so slightly away from his usual heartbreak anthems and giving fans a fresh and more upbeat version to his sound.

Produced by creative duo Trackside, and the final in a string of singles that laid the foundations ahead of SOLOMON’s highly anticipated debut EP (which includes a Timbaland produced version of recent release ‘Sore Loser’, the viral single ‘listen up’ and ‘phases’ with Kojey Radical), ‘dehydrate’ is a sonic change to his usual brand of melancholic musings, instead showing us his unbridled versatility and ability to dominate every lane of sound he tries his hand at. Continuing the story of strained love that SOLOMON has detailed in his previous singles thus far, this new track looks at the ever-relatable theme of unrequited love, with ‘dehydrate’ detailing the inequalities of romantic relationships. SOLOMON muses: ‘I brought you these flowers, a bouquet I made you / I picked out your favourites, you let them dehydrate in a matter of days’. Using flowers for the metaphor of his relationship, the track shows one person's efforts, whilst another simply gives no attention to the gesture, letting it dehydrate, and essentially end.

SOLOMON further reinforces this by stating: ‘gave much more than just my time to you, wish I knew back then that all you’d do was waste it.’ Never shying away from discussing love and heartbreak from a very real perspective, SOLOMON continues to show us why millions of listeners gravitate toward his sultry and flawless vocals with every new release. A fast-rising star in his lane, SOLOMON writes from a place of vulnerability, and this is only enhanced by the impeccable sound of his vocals, too.
