NSJ Mali - Lost Interlude (Official Video)

Kennington trailblazer NSJ Mali drops his brand-new rap offering “Lost Interlude” - alongside an incendiary music video.

With a natural confidence and style that embodies his high-calibre approach, the Jamaican and Nigerian heritage artist is rapidly becoming one of the most highly regarded upcoming UK rap talents across the landscape.

Bouncing back from his infectious single “No Pressure” ft. Mugzz - gaining key support from CLASH, NOTION, WONDERLAND and GRM DAILY - NSJ Mali’s rare lyrical finesse shines front and centre across his latest cut “Lost Interlude". Opening with emotive guitar licks, the 20-year-old flexes a menacing cadence blossoming with atmosphere and intent, before heavy basslines and nostalgic trap textures quickly elevate the track to where Mali finds himself most comfortable and potent. He reconciles with his past hardships and friends who’ve wronged him – "People change when you least expect it, never get too comfortable." Showcased throughout the music video, Mali manoeuvres across a busy London setting, visually depicting the pace and disorientation of the rising star’s vigorous lifestyle balancing inner city pressure and a clear passion fuelled by his own creative integrity.

Already boasting co-signs from the likes of Dave, Blanco, Loski and Clint RTW, Mali’s lyrical intellect rapidly became known for encapsulating the multi-dimensional sounds of South London. 2021 saw Mali earn breakout status after the release of “Ether” (7M+ streams), before signing to 2K Management alongside the likes of J Hus, Lotto Ash and JAE5. Continuing to imprint his character onto the culture, the young talent dropped a stream of addictive singles including his infamous MIXTAPE MADNESS “Next Up” freestyle and “Maths” produced by UK frontrunner TSB (Headie One, Knucks, M1llionz) - announcing his unapologetic, technical, upper-echelon brand of UK rap as a standout across the underground.
